It has become apparent that oftentimes the massive devastation that hits various regions in the Philippines has been attributed to climate change, the illegal logging and small-scale mining conducted in the rural areas, ineffective safety protocol procedures, and poorly developed infrastructure. We recognize that typhoon relief efforts are not a permanent solution, but are meant to offer immediate support in the wake of overwhelming destruction.
